BILL OVCA, President and Founder
Bill has held key senior leadership positions in strategic planning, general management, marketing, and finance for over 30 years, including progressively more senior positions at Trans World Airlines, Clairol and Canada Dry. He has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and an M.B.A.
In 1980, Bill joined BATUS, which was responsible for the management of B.A.T. Industries’ $10B U.S. financial services, retail, tobacco, and paper interests. These included Farmers Group Insurance, Saks Fifth Avenue, Marshall Field’s, Brown & Williamson Tobacco, and Appleton Papers. He was a key contributor in BATUS’ acquisition of Marshall Field’s and its operating companies. He also led the restructuring and profitable expansion of the BATUS Health Care System.
Bill’s executive search work has included assisting clients in enhancing shareholder value by identifying, assessing, selecting, and successfully attracting and retaining superior talent. Clients have included start-ups/pre-IPO businesses and global publicly traded Fortune 500 corporations in a wide range of business sectors, including managed care/health care, pharmaceutical, energy, consumer products and services, consulting services, e-commerce, information technology, financial services, insurance, manufacturing, entertainment, retail, and industrial.
CAROL THREADGILL, Vice President, Executive Search & Operations
As VP, Executive Search & Operations, Carol draws on 20+ years of executive search, talent management and human resource experience. In collaboration with our clients’ teams, Carol consistently executes on a targeted strategy for the timely and successful search for executive, management, professional, and technical talent.
Prior to joining Ovca Associates, Carol established and operated an independent HR consulting practice providing executive, management, and technical search services for corporate human resource and recruitment organizations in the health care, pharmaceutical, and technology sectors; key clients have included Providence Health & Services, Behr Process/ Masco Corporation, Alameda Health System, The Capital Group, Watson Pharmaceuticals (now Actavis), and Kaiser Permanente.
Previously, Carol enjoyed a successful HR career with Unisys Corporation, Security Life of Denver, Madison Square Garden Corporation, and Capitol Life Insurance (now Liberty Bankers Life). She holds a B.S. degree in Biology/Animal Behavior from the City University of New York.
JODI OVCA, Vice President, Business Development & Client Services
In addition to her executive search experience, Jodi has spent the last 20 years as an established attorney, mediator, facilitator, trainer, and executive coach. She has proven results across multiple sectors, including private and federal industries, education, and nonprofits.
As a mediator and expert in change management, Jodi has helped resolve hundreds of employment, workplace, criminal, civil, and family disputes for private, corporate, and government clients. She also is the founder and Executive Director of Access Youth, Inc.,a nonprofit organization she has grown in Washington, DC, whose mission is to provide at-risk youth with access to the skills, resources, and support they need to stay in school and out of the criminal justice system.
Jodi holds a B.A. in Chinese & French from Wellesley College, and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
DAVID BLANEY, Director of Search Services
Dave has over 30 years of executive search and human resources experience as Director of Staffing for NBC/Universal, Executive Vice President Human Resources for Mercury Savings, and Sr. Vice President, Human Resources & Administration at Coast Savings.
JENNIFER GREENWALD, Research Associate
Jennifer has joined us as our Research Associate. She brings decades of client management, communications, and strong creative and administrative experience. Jennifer is focused on supporting OAI’s internal services as well as meeting the individual needs of our clients.
